Well you see I had this idea of creating a “greetings” blog which you might open Christmas Day before going to the beach. This was to include short video clips but as is the way of the world moments of inspiration are sabotaged by events and timing ~ or possibly people heard (or saw) my efforts and couldn’t face ridicule of talking to camera. So in the absence of willing participants all you get are some photos from the Christmas do last Friday and my little bit of video from a few days before.
Anyway the original idea was there to just say to our long missing friend ~
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2007 & HAVE A GREAT 2008
Incidentally you may want to cast a critical eye over and confirm you recognise all who were there!!!!
Oh and I was walking home from the Racehorse with Taffy Williams one Wednesday afternoon (actually the 12th after a veterans business curry in the Rajpoot followed by some Guinness) along the path to Bathpool that runs between the river and railway line when who should we see but a folically challenged old drummer who used to be an Old Dog ~ actually walking his dog. Yep it was the aforementioned idol pictured in the first blog picture just returned from the far east and currently sharing a house with his wife(?) just up the road from Asda. Sad to say still seems bitter about the way he thinks he was treated by us all on leaving the department.
